The Shucker Paddy was designed to fit ergonomically in the hand for maximum comfort and to ensure a firm grip. The handle fits in the palm of your hand almost like a pistol grip, and the three-inch, notched, stainless steel blade is where the "barrel" of the pistol would be and is sharpened on both the top and bottom, for ease of use on all types of oysters.
